This show, narrated by and featuring 12 year old Sophie Lang, includes 5 stories featuring a variety of engineers. This seven minute, widescreen program with surround sound was designed to play continuously in a special theater as part of a traveling science museum exhibit about engineering called “Tech City”

Basic concepts such as a water budget, stores and fluxes of water, and the flowpaths and residence time of water are explained, using old cartoons, stock imagery, and original material.

Chris Hemmeter is credited for being the hotelman who brought Hyatt to Hawaii. In 1985, Hemmeter was named Entrepeneur of the Year by Cornell’s School of Business.

The Dragonfly Coupe is a fairly small, beautifully decorated glass chalice, 17 cm high. It includes much detail, some of it only appreciated by the varying play of light. We were commissioned by the Corning Museum of Glass to create video of this coupe to play continuously during their Galle show. This video was played on a 54″ monitor in the gallery next to the real object.

In 2008, the Cornell University men’s basketball team won the Ivy League Championship, and an invitation to the NCAA tournament. For the first time in many years Cornell was going to “The Dance.”

Triton is an 8 year old Labrador retriever receiving therapy for thyroid cancer at the Cornell University Hospital for Animals. This show was one chapter in a 35 minute show called “Pet Owner’s Guide to Cancer”

Middle school students use a giant protractor in the field, learning how trigonometry helps surveyors determine the height of a building that is far away. The students help each other to use a tape measure and a trig table that they call “that tangent thing”, to make their calculations.

We created this short science lesson using public domain animation to succinctly explain the hydrologic cycle and introduce some hydrologic vocabulary.

Forces of Nature was a commissioned multimedia performance for the finale of Light in Winter, January 2006. Images of the most dramatic forces of nature tell the story of how earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes, hurricanes and floods affect our lives, to the live original music of Judy Hyman and friends.

Earthquakes have been depicted in woodcuts for centuries, capturing the terrors and destruction of an ancient scourge. An original score by Judy Hyman accompanies this commissioned work, recorded live
