Cornell University Men’s Basketball

In 2008, the Cornell University men’s basketball team won the Ivy League Championship, and an invitation to the NCAA tournament. For the first time in many years Cornell was going to “The Dance.”

We covered that year’s winning season, beginning with the team’s respectable showing against powerhouse, Duke, through their seat-clearing rout of Harvard when they clinched the Ivy League title before a delirious home crowd.

This show was created to help the team to recruit new players. The Cornell team returned to the tournament in 2009; and in March 2010, still under the leadership of Coach Steve Donohue, made it all the way to the Sweet 16. We like to think that we helped Cornell get there.
