This is one of our first video productions.   From 1982.   It was shot on 1″ type C, with an RCA TK76, and edited on 3/4″.   At that time, there was a great leap forward in video production, known as the Video Cassette.  No more threading up reel-to-reel machines.
We had met the Head Coach for the Cornell Crew, Finn Meislahn, while creating another show on the history of Cornell Athletics, called “Here we are Again”.   We unearthed a wealth of images for that show, including the Cornell crews at the Poughkeepsie Regatta, and at Henley in 1957.  Finn then hired us to make this recruiting video for his crews.  The students got permission from Steve Winwood to use the song, “Night Train”, and our good friend Karl Schaffner provided music as well.
